The main cause of the Cold War is completely confused clash of the radical ideological belies -communism and capitalism. the USA with its capitalist allies and the USSR is communist allies are equally to blame for beginning the war and its devastation to humanity. during cold war the arms race between the USSR and the USA played one of the dominant roles in the fall of the USSR. The Cuban missile crisis is the one of the most studied events in international relations, widely believed to be the closest the world has come to thermonuclear war. the fact that nuclear weapons were not used to resolve the crisis has attracted scholarly attention.

In order to maintain peace and stability in the world, there must be a balance of power between countries. The Nuclear Arms Race was started because there wasn't a balance of power after World War II. The U.S. was the only country at that time which possessed nuclear weapons. Russia, fearing a United States domination of world power, developed a nuclear bomb of its own. Thus started the Arms Race, in which both countries attempted to gain the upper hand in terms of the number of nuclear warheads each possessed. However, the Arms Race ended when several treaties in arms reduction were passed. I believe that in the end, the United States and the Soviet Union realized that one country would eventually win, and the balance of power would again be shifted. Fearing a nuclear war, arms negotiations began in an attempt to lessen the tension. This is evident in the fact that treaties between the two countries were signed, agreeing on the limitation and testing of nuclear arms. It is also illustrated in the Cuban Missile Crisis, where Russia agreed to withdraw the missiles placed in Cuba, fearing U.S. retaliation.

In order to better understand the Arms Race, a brief history must be given. The Arms Race probably began in August of 1949, when Russia detonated its own nuclear weapon, thus ending the U.S. monopoly. In response, President Truman ordered the development of the hydrogen bomb in January of 1950. However, the Soviet Union made the first H-bomb in August of 1953. Then, the race escalated when the Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile was developed in the summer of 1957, again by the Soviets. A serious crisis arose in 1962, when the Soviets placed ballistic missiles in Cuba, their new ally. The missiles were withdrawn when the U.S. threatened nuclear retaliation. In return, President Kennedy's promised not to invade Cuba. The world had never come closer to a nuclear war.

During the U.S Historical time, many events took place before and after world war II. the two events that happened after world war II are "placement of soviet missiles in Cuba (1962)" and "nuclear arms race (1950-1970)".

The two world super power, American and the soviet union should be against "placement of missiles in Cuba, (1962) and" nuclear arms race (1950s-1970)  because it missiles in Cuba, almost of completion to win  Cuba to spread their politic parties democracy and communism.

Before the end of the worlds war II, in the U.S the first nuclear weapon was created and tested to see the result. this project is called the "Manhattan project." According to international campaign to abolish nuclear weapons states that" The U.S sets up the Manhattan project to develop the first nuclear weapon. This project costs two billion dollars during world war II and about twenty or twenty five billion dollars in today currency.

Getting closer to the end of world war II the U.S dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on august 6, 1945 and august 9, 1945. according (i can) in international campaign it states the U.S detonates a uranium bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima killing more than 140,000 people with in months. many more later, die fro radiation - related illness. this nuclear war fight against japan, led to the fear of nuclear weapon against other. many protest to prevent nuclear war affairs.

after the war into the late 1940s and earlier 1950s the united states and the soviet union (Russia) divided Germany into two section, the democracy section, the communism section.

I. Introduction
I volunteered for the Red Cross Blood Drive on December 17, 2015 at Fowler High School. The Red Cross does blood drives, because they want to help people who are sick and who are weak, because they don't have enough blood in their body.
Mission: The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The American Red Cross is the nation’s largest blood collection organization, supplying approximately 40 percent of the blood and blood products used in our country.
During the Red-Cross Blood Donation time at George W. Fowler, I volunteered to take the responsibility to make lists of the names of people who donated blood to save others' lives.  I helped organize by putting the donated blood in the crates and containers to deliver it to the Red Cross. After the individuals were done donating blood, I helped distribute free shirts to the donors. When someone came to donate blood, I directed them to the donating area at Fowler.
After organizing the crates and containers, it was my job to check in with Mr. Gates (Teacher) who I was working for as a volunteer to see how well I was doing with the job. When there was an error, he corrected the mistakes that were made. I used the computer to check the names of the people who were finished with the blood donation. Mr. Gates directed me to check the names because he believed that doing this would help me to be well organized and know how many people are done with the blood donation.

VI.  Conclusion:
My personal reactions to the act of performing community service are positive because if we help to donate blood, we will save other people's lives. I feel that I made a difference because I helped write down the names of people who donated, and they were helping to save the lives of others. I think that community service has a great impact on society because, if I help one person, then they will go help others and then society will change. I would recommend my community service opportunity to other students because it was a good experience and I enjoyed it. I was able to help people and I was able to meet new people
